Ignoring NewJeans? “Not True, Stop Using NewJeans’ Parents for Personal Gain”, said HYBE

Responding to such claims, NewJeans’ agency, ADOR, has confirmed that the claims in the email were true.

However, through an official press release, HYBE refuted these claims and alleged ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin of trying to use NewJeans’ parents for personal gain.
The full statement from HYBE is as below:
“We would like to inform you on behalf of HYBE.
Regarding the email sent by the parents of NewJeans, as reported by a media outlet on the 13th, we would like to provide an explanation.
We received the email on April 3 and responded on April 16, clarifying that there was no plagiarism involved.
The notion that the start of the ADOR incident stemmed from ‘(NewJeans) not receiving greetings and being ignored’ is a unilateral claim and not factual.

We deeply regret Min Hee-jin’s actions of dragging artists and their families into her fight for her own greed.
We have secured evidence such as
- The fact that sending emails attacking HYBE was part of a plan for corporate governance takeover and profit-seeking
- Min Hee-jin suggesting that if she raises an issue, it would violate the shareholders’ agreement, so she would use NewJeans’ parents
- The email purportedly sent by the parents was actually written by Vice President L and Min Hee-jin, among others.
We plan to submit this evidence to investigative and judicial authorities.
We cannot help but be appalled by Min Hee-jin’s behavior of using artists as shields and even resorting to their parents for personal gain. We urge her to refrain from manipulating public opinion and to exercise restraint in protecting the value of artists.”
